Beginning Italian 1B: Classes start Thursday, September 29th. We’ll meet on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm. The course will conclude on December 15th. (10, two hour sessions).
Classes are offered in a classroom near Indian Bend and Scottsdale Rd. The exact address will be sent to students who have started the enrollment process by completing and returning the attached form. Classes are held in a room with white boards, tables, chairs, air conditioning and plenty of parking. We have all the amenities we need for a comfortable and successful class.
A little information about the class:
Beginning Italian 1B is structured as a first year, second semester beginning Italian class. There will be homework assignments, but no tests, exams or grades. This class is perfect for those who have completed Italian 1A or an Italian 101 class. This is a structured class, taught to accommodate the pace of the group. We will cover chapters 6 – 9 of the text Ciao, 6th Edition. This course will aid those who are travelling to Italy by teaching basic grammar and vocabulary necessary for conversing in Italian. Beginning Italian 1B will also provide a solid foundation for those who wish to continue to study Italian upon completion of this course. I do plan on offering a continuation of this course once the class ends.
Cost for the program: $295.00 per student . A spot in the class is only reservied once the student has both paid and submitted an enrollment form. Payment is due by Thursday, September 15th. Enrollment closes that same day. Don’t delay and run the risk of the class filling up before you enroll. Students must be at least 18 years of age or have permission of the instructor to enroll.
“Ciao” 6th edition by Carla Larese Riga. Used copies are available, and I would encourage you to purchase a used copy to keep the cost down. You do not need the CD or DVD that may accompany some of the used texts. However, you are welcome to purchase a text that comes with these supplements if you’d like. Again, be sure to get the 6th edition.
